Comments:
This REX grease cup provided and/or made by the Chain Belt Co. came to me for the price of asking after it. It was quite buried in swarf, dirt and grunge and upon cleaning the REX logo jumped right out at me. The grease cup is still full, altho' the grease has turned into wax. The bore on the sleeve bearing is 3/4" and I have no idea who made the rest of this, no markings. I suppose that this came from a jackshaft partnered up with some piece of wood or metal working machinery. But the p.o. is no longer around to tell me. Links are provided for where to find this part, thanks to site historian Jeff Joslin. Take note of pages 268 to 282 where the grease cups are shown and charted out for their specs. The "Machine Size" of #1 is based upon the diameter of the grease cup, 1 5/8".
