Heavier than the Titanic's anchor, this Atlas 6001 6" jointer works flawlessly. I got this one from helping a good friend move. Sounds easy, right? Well, this friend is a vise and anvil collector with a few machines weighing in excess of 1,000 pounds. I have purchased, and traded tools and vises with him a handful of times the past, and he was always great company. While moving thousands of pounds of iron in the lovely Dallas Texas heat, we had a lot of fun talking about tools and such. I would have helped him 5 times over just to hang out, but he gave me an assortment of tools, an anvil, and this fantastic jointer as a thank you. This jointer is in remarkable shape, and my restoration (although thorough) was just to compliment the machine's appearance. I chose yellow due to the nostalgia of high school shop class having a big, yellow (probably Powermatic) jointer that I learned on.
