I found this machine in a thrift store in Canada.
It has been painted over but I managed to scrape off enough paint to read the name plate : Curtis Machine Division , The Carborundum Co. , Jamestown NY 23-282
I found this uniquely interesting as on one of my visits to Niagara Falls , NY I found a bunch of old grinding wheels in an alley way made by Carborundum company.
It still runs - pretty quiet and I thought it was a sanding or buffing machine as that is the info I found on Curtis Machine company as making wood working machines. Then I found the 1958 ad on here that shows the exact machine as a grinding / deburring machine.
This is a 110/120 volt machine and probably 1800 rpm
It is heavy as heck !
I am not really selling this machine but if someone is interested in restoring it please feel free to contact me as I won't be doing anything with it :)
