Purchased at an auction in Anchorage Alaska spring of 25'
It was in pretty rough shape, so I did a light reconditioning and cleaning of the whole thing. A lot of wire wheeling and sandpaper to remove rust and gunk. Luckily the quill assembly, return spring and all bearings appeared to be in pretty good condition after I got some oil into them. The motor was shot, and I'm not certain it was the original. So, I ordered a new 1HP 110v motor, doubling original power ;-), with a VFD. I know I'll grow to hate moving the larger 65lb oil table so I'm retrofitting an inverted trailer jack that I'll use my cordless drill to raise and lower it as needed. I also ordered a wood press table with a fence, stop block, and t-track that I'll clamp onto the main table for most work. I'm also retrofitting it with a coolant pump and sprayer for when I need to make holes in heavy steel. When I need the metal table I'll use my drill press or mill vise held with a 12v door magnet.
