Circa 1970? Rockwell Model 11-280 Radial Arm Drill Press.
I bought this from a young fellow here locally who I found through Craig's List.
His father had a cabinet shop but apparently passed away and the son said he did not need the drill.
Cost me $125 which I think is a pretty good price especially comparing it to the current crop of small radial drills.
It's got the original 1/2 horse Rockwell motor which runs like new with no noticeable vibration and all joints lock up nice and tight.
It obviously needs a little cleaning but it's in pretty good shape; I don't have a dial indicator but did take a piece of drill rod and an engineers square with me and it looks to me like it has almost no run-out at all.
This will make a nice addition to my shop once it's all cleaned up.
I'd like to replace the chuck with a keyless model at some point.
