Owned by my father, unknown when he acquired it, but I remember him using it as early as 1952. It was used in construction work intermittently until the 1970's. In my memory "D" handle was always missing. Recently cleaned, new cord, lubricated. Now used occasionally to mix masonry waterproofing. Still strong, tricky worn switch, but works and has very high torque. The B&D 1927 catalog pic appears identical to this drill; by the 1933 catalog the drill with the same name is different.
