I got this 6001 jointer from the Milwaukee area & it made its way through the rucker system to me in Warren, MI.
Don't know much history on the jointer: However, I'm sure it was damaged at some point since the fence is from a 6000 series jointer.
There was also some minor damage to one of the infeed support rails.
I mounted it to a modified Craftsman universal tool stand & used a Craftsman RAS motor to help keep it period correct.
Also added a double belt & pulley set-up
