Boice Crane planer. 1930'vintage. "Little Giant"

Peerless 1-1/2HP Repulsison Start, Induction Run motor.

Factory cast iron stand.

Very heavy for a 12" planer. 535 pounds without cast iron stand. Stand adds another 100 pounds.

Unusual in that it has a cast iron belt guard. Catalogs indicate it was introduced in 1930. Cast Iron belt guard looks to be used 1930 through 1940. Replaced by sheet metal guard in 1941.
