Comments:
I had this lathe sitting on the shelf for years and finally decided to find out about it and clean it up. The only reference found so far is from the 1926 Champion Blower and Forge catalog #52 on page 79 where it is identified as a Ball Bearing Lancaster Benchtop lathe. Back when I first found it, I mounted the lathe on a nice piece of oak and am powering it off a older Westinghouse 1/6th Hp which seems to be plenty for the size of the lathe. The headstock is 17/16 of an inch with 12 teeth per inch and has a #2 morse. Not sure if a faceplate is available for it since it seems to be rare and not standard size. Planning to clean up the oak base, improve the motor mounting system while keep the lathe as is. I built the tool rest and cross slide when I first purchased the lathe and will keep the setup unless I find a better one.
