I found this saw on marketplace listed for free. It was a couple of hours from me and I didn’t really need another saw, but I really liked the bench that it was built on. I watched it for about a month before I contacted the seller. He confirmed that he was getting rid of it for free and that the bench had to go too. He was about 2 days from sending it to the scrap heap. I made arrangements with him to pick it up that weekend. The table was crap and the saw had lots of seized parts, but overall not bad, especially for the price. I replaced the brake with a new switch, retired everything, installed a new capacitor and cleaned up the bearings. I had the table from my recently rebuilt GWI that was in pretty good shape so I slapped that on away it went. Now it cuts smooth, quiet and accurate.
