I bought this and a few others at an estate auction. The owner was a builder who did his own millwork and cabinetry and had purchased all the equipment new. It was well cared for but suffering from old grease and age. The motor had been rebuilt locally in the 1980s. I know he purchased in in 1957, because he scratched the date on the 14" badge. I replaced all the bearings, gave it a thorough cleaning and adjusting. Replaced the dry rotted wiring, but other than that she is back to work in my shop and singing. I have the companion 8" joiner that I have stripped down. That is getting the full treatment and color matched paint. Also a 14" that I haven't started on. I know he purchased in in 1957, because he scratched the date on the 14" badge.
