Purchased from someone who was going to restore it. He purchased it at auction from trade school. The lathe had already been taken apart almost entirely when purchased. There is about 80 hours in panel prep and general paint removal. All primed and then sprayed with Sherwin Williams custom matched oil enamel. Rewired completely. New Hitachi VFD for new 3 phase Baldor motor. The entire head casting was cleaned in an ultrasonic bath. Gearbox got all new bushings and bearings. Crossfeed and compound lead screw nuts were replaced. New drive belt, new oiler wicks everywhere. Holds .005 over 30 inches. I will be putting a DRO and tach on it in the fall.
