Obtained this motor at an estate sale of a deceased wood working friend of mine in the early 1990's. It has a date code of "A84 7"; perhaps April 7, 1984? In the early 1990"s I was given a 1946 - 1948 Atlas Drill Press ( http://www.vintagemachinery.org/photoindex/images/46170-A.jpg ) that had a burned out original motor. Put this used motor on the drill press and it has work quite well ever since. I use the drill press almost every week. Not sure if any number on the plate refers to a serial number.
