Mother-in-law worked at Sears for many years. Most of our Christmas wish lists were to be Sears items. I would always ask for tools. 2001 I asked for an electric or powered air pump. My father-in-law gave this to me. I love this compressor and keep it in my garage for many uses. This is a great machine for short jobs that require air. There is no pressure tank to fill on this compressor so it is instantaneous to use. Great for pumping up tires, balls, blasting air streams to clean items, etc. It is loud and does heat up, so it does not appropriate for long continued uses, such as hooking up nail guns, sprayers, etc.
