Purchased in 1987. I was able to find this drill kit and case in catalogs from 1982 to 1993. I think 1982 is about when this kit and case were first sold. Currently the catalog history is sparse after 1993; this kit may well have been sold after that date.

Used this drill frequently when building my house, 1988 to 1991. The motor is very powerful and the right angle attachment was useful when drilling holes for Romex wires in the ceiling and floor joist. When using large screw type bits for drilling, if bit gets caught on a nail or hard object, the torque of the motor has enough power to twist your arms, shoulder, and torso. In my opinion this is a high quality, worthwhile tool on a construction site.
