I bought this motor from a gentleman on Facebook Marketplace. Original owner was his grandfather. Incredibly designed, built like a tank. It worked fine as is, but showed the usual cosmetic wear & tear from being 76-years-old. Exterior was rusty. Electric cord was dry rotted. Approximately 60cc’s of sawdust & grime packed inside. I stripped it down, repacked bearings, upgraded the wiring, and repainted the housing. I tried to keep it visually correct, but the chrome band was too pitted. End caps are dark machinery gray with the center band being painted metallic silver. I will eventually install it on a 1950’s Craftsman belt/disk sander that I am currently refurbishing. It will be the perfect power plant for that machine.

Shiny, new finish. Added a toggle switch in the base just like it originally had.
