Saw this ugly duckling on a for sale site. It was new to me - I'd never seen one before. Evidently it is a "Montgomery Ward (Powr-Kraft) Solid State Drill Press (frequently found as a 17" model) is a highly versatile, vintage hybrid machine from the late 1960s to early 1970s. It was actually manufactured by Darra-James/ToolKraft Corp. and stands out for its unique DC variable-speed motor controlled by an electronic potentiometer dial." I didn't buy it as it was too expensive, and I definitely do NOT need another project.
