I purchased ($150.00) this Delta 6" jointer from the estate of a local retired, finish carpenter. It was mounted on a shop made, portable wooden stand, and was regularly taken to job sites. It was powered by a very large GE 3/4HP motor that weighed almost as much as the jointer. No parts of this jointer were missing or damaged when I purchased it. A complete restoration followed which included parts cleaning, rust removal, paint stripping, priming and painting. All badges were in good shape. All bearings were replaced and new cutter knives purchased and installed. I also purchased, restored and installed the correct Delta flared leg stand and chip chute, a Delta retractable caster set, a Delta enclosed belt guard and a 1/2HP Delta motor. The motor is wired for 110v and the entire unit is properly grounded. A modern on/off paddle switch was installed.
