I bought the lathe from a employee of the company Orica, in Brwonsburg, Quebec. Orica is a explosives manufacturing plant. It was founded in 1886 under Dominion Cartridge Company, changed to Canadian Explosives Company in 1910, became Canadian Industries Limited in 1929 some other before becoming Orica.
