Picked up from local auction, not sure of the maker as badge was painted over and Walker Turner is not a common brand here in the UK. I got this for £25 ($31) and as per the pictures, it has had a life. Searching VM archives and with the help of Brian Kachadurian (thanks again Brian) I believe this to be a 1939 model, possibly supplied to Britain as part of the war effort. I say this due to the retrofitted British 50Hz motor, the production base and tilting table with machined side plates. Original SKF bearing all still good and just needed a thorough clean and repacking. Other than replacing the wiring, the only parts missing were the depth gauge nuts and the oiler cap which I reproduced using pictures on VM and some artistic licence!
I am contemplating filling the “Arc of shame) holes with JD welding these as as I don’t want to not want to risk warping the table with heat. Whatever the solution will remain visible so appreciate any suggestions on this

Remote bid so did not view in person before purchase. I had to look up Walker Turner once I’d won it

I like the table set up, I don’t think the 4 holes in the base are original as it is set up for coolant
