0-1200 rpm variable speed reversible.
110-120 VAC, 3.3 amp.
Metal gear case with double reduction gears.
Motor rotor on two 608 ball bearings with shields inward and seals outward.
Reduction gear on two roller needle bearings.
Front spindle bearing 7R6, rear is a roller needle bearing.
Chuck: Craftsman/Supreme 2975.
Chuck key: 2058
This was “Sears *Best*” 3/8” drill in the late 1970s, retailing for around $59.
The same chassis was used for a rotary hammer drill variant.

May 2026: dumpster find.

August 2026:
Disassembled.
Washed greasy dirt from shell halves.
Scooped and wiped out old grease from gear case.
Lubricated gear case with Skil Power Tool Grease 2-610-996-386.
Installed replacement power cord.
Inspected and reinstalled motor brushes.
Polished chuck and lubricated with LPS-1.
Modified a plastic handle with a 3/8-24 square head bolt to fit threaded socket in gear case.
Reassembled—runs well.
