Comments:

Acquired in Bonita Springs, Florida, August 2026 and transported to Miami. The machine is badged by Osborne & Sexton Machinery Co., Columbus, Ohio, but the surviving mechanism has been identified through Hall & Brown trade literature as the table/elevation/tilt assembly from a Hall & Brown No. 0 Combination Saw.

The original saw arbor, drive equipment and cast-iron table are no longer present. The surviving assembly retains the heavy cast-iron pedestal, twin vertical lift housings, transverse shaft and bevel gears, side handwheel, large curved tilting quadrants, angle pointer and faint degree graduations. Castings are marked V74, V75 and V76.

The Hall & Brown catalog describes the No. 0 as having an iron table that could be raised or lowered parallel by handwheel and tilted to 45 degrees, with degree markings indicating table angle. The complete machine was listed at 965 lb.

The machine is currently fitted with a later thick hardwood worktop and is awaiting complete restoration. During restoration I intend to strip the later paint carefully and inspect the castings for additional Hall & Brown markings or model information. The Osborne & Sexton badge will be preserved as part of the machine’s later history.
