Comments:
Purchased from an online auction thinking it was a No. 17 (very poor photos on the auction site). When I received it I realized it was much larger than a No. 17 and after a little research, I found product catalog from 1954 on this site and realized that it was actually a No. 18. There is very little information online about this machine but was able to find it in listed in both a 1954 and 1957 catalog. It uses standard Roper Whitney No. 20 tooling and appears to be around 7 tons of punching force. Maximum punching size is 13/16 inch through 12 gauge mild steel. The work table does not appear to be a factory original but is a nice addition.
