Bought this motor off Facebook Marketplace in Summer of 2026. Was told by previous owner that he salvaged it off a scrapped Craftsman table saw. Date code (L4 47) indicates it was manufactured in November, 1947. Appears to be all original. Quiet operation with no vibration. It is in much better shape than a 3/4 hp Craftsman that I recently refurbished. Plan to disassemble, check bearings & wiring, and polish the bare metal & paint. The 1/2” diameter dual shafts and reversible rotation will make it useful for future projects or as a back-up for my other vintage machines. These motors were over-engineered and last for multi generations if maintained properly.
