Comments:
I acquired this lathe from a closed pattern shop near Lee,Mass.Pictures of other machines to follow. The lathe weights in at 4,850 lbs.and in the Oliver catalogue it is called "Oliver" No.18 Heavy wood Lathe. It came with the outboard turning stand,12" face-
plate,20" faceplate,6" toolrest,18"toolrest,1 toolrest holder for the crosslide,1 toolrest holder for the bed,1 offset toolrest holder and 2 centers. The lathe was oiled and kept outside under tarps for three years.I have started cleanup and derusting to get ready for painting. The bed is 12'8"long by 20 1/2"wide.The swing on the outboard side is 92".I haven't decided if I will keep this lathe yet as I already have six other lathes and running out of floor space.
