Found this at the side of the road two blocks from home. My father worked for this company, or one of its several predecessors, while he was in high school. I have not tried to use the saw yet but it looks to be in surprisingly good shape. Looks like my clean living has finally paid off for me.

[Originally uploaded in 2006. Twenty years later, here's a final update: This was a dreadful little saw. A previous owner had mounted the motor using bits of construction lumber and this was badly executed. I did some fettling so at least the belt didn't burst into flames when the blade was perpendicular to the table. But the saw keeps the motor stationary when the table is tilted, which didn't work as well as you might think. Nothing about this saw was square, or flat, or good quality, and using it felt exceedingly dangerous. Even though I have a (tenuous) family connection to this manufacturer, I took great pleasure in throwing this saw into a dumpster so it could be melted down and turned into something else.]
