I am unsure of the exact manufacture date of this great old machine, but I do know that it was installed new in a junior / senior high school in the early 1960s , 63 I was told. It remained in daily service until it was retired in 1987. I purchased it at a surplus auction and had to replace the lower spindle bearing and the three phase motor with a single phase, it is still missing the knob on the belt guard but I havent gotten around to locating one. There are no tags or numbers on this machine that I could find, just the name cast on the side as seen in the photos. The green and orange is not the original colors it was textured grey. The green and safety orange was added as part of a school shop safety program early in the 1980's.
