This is another great old machine that I purchased over 30 years ago (1987 or 88). It was installed new in a junior- senior high school woodworking shop in approximately 1960. When I acquired this machine I had to replace the 1 hp 3 phase motor with a 1.5 hp single phase and install new bearings, it has run trouble free since. I have never bothered with repainting this (or other vintage machines that I own), I guess that I am just too focused on making dust. The odd size of the sanding belts (4 X 53) requires that I plan ahead and special order before I run out.
