Comments:
Purchased via eBay from the University of Missouri - Rolla. Evaluating a machine via pictures is always a crap shoot, but so far I'm happy.

This is a Kearney & Trecker era machine. Possibly early in their run as the main tag doesn't say K&T as later ones do. This press is marked with asset tags from the US Bureau of Mines. Apparently the 'ol USBM wanted their machines to blend in at a carnival.

It is very complete. Just about the only thing missing is the lever for locking the table. It even came with a chuck key. I don't have any way of knowing if it's original, but it does have a fair amount of wear on it. It has a Jacobs 6A 1/2" chuck. The spindle action is smooth and the bearings seem pretty good. I haven't had it under power yet. That will be the real test, of course.

It's powered by a 3 phase 3/4 hp motor connected to an Allen-Bradley starter. I haven't seen an A-B starter hung off of one of these before. This may have been added later.

Edit- Positively dated using the Walker-Turner Serial Number magic decoder ring at http://www.owwm.com/MfgIndex/PubDetail.asp?ID=808&PubID=2222
