After 3 years of searching for an affordable model in this size, I found this one right in my back yard. It was sold by a custom builder/remodeling contractor who didn't need a jointer for building things out of MDF. Prior to that, it was in a local High School industrial arts shop. From the looks of it, in between getting coats of eye-corroding nuclear green paint, it spent it's time jointing bricks or some other masonry materials. At least, judging from the knives...

I don't think this thing has been cleaned, tuned, or treated to a sharp set of knives in at several decades. Otherwise, it's great though. No cracks, breaks, repairs, and nothing but one handle from the fence is missing.
