Comments:
This Oliver 182-DB combination sander was surplused from Warner-Robins AFB in Georgia. I purchased it government surplus and brought it to New Mexico. The machine is complete, has the miter gage, and despite some rust, is in good condition. I was able to find belts and disks in a wide variety of grit sizes through MSC. Current pictures show machine in as-recieved condition. I did remove the tables to ship it.

Sander cleaned up nicely. So far the only design issue that I can find is the mounting for the table on the belt sander. If you don't watch the tracking the belt can move to the left and contact the table support actually cutting into it. I suspect that this is why so many 182-DB's are missing the belt sander table. Nevertheless, Oliver built a nice sander when they made the 182-DB.

This motor on this sander started with no problem when I hooked it up. It runs smoothly and quitely and the belt tracks well. I have an 80 grit disk and belt on the sander and both cut nicely. In a word, this machine is sweet!
