Toro manufactured 12" drill press from 1956. Clean but somewhat neglected when found. Only dusting of rust on base and table. Complete disassembly, light cleaning, and respray to bring to condition shown. Changed out motor for lighter weight unit for better balance and added new motor-rated switch. Work light was added by previous owner and retained.

Pleasantly surprised at build-quality of this DP. All cast iron construction. Features 6-spline spindle shaft driven by 4-step pulley using splined steel insert. Spindle shaft supported by 2 oilite bushings in quill and 1 additional oilite bushing in top of casting supporting pulley sleeve/spindle shaft. Also ball-bearing thrust bearing just above chuck. Pulleys are of Browning manufacture.

Uses Jacobs Multi-Craft chuck with 33JT taper mount. Quick removal via knurled ring for mounting router and shaper accessories.

Came with optional accessories set, listed separately in Index and complete manuals/catalog.
