Picked this nice Atlas jointer up at a garage sale in 1997. It cost me 125.00, alot for a G-sale but worth the money. When I first turn it on it hit about 5000 rpm before I turned it off... turned it back on and it topped out at about 10,000 rpm (a little scary)
Turns out the motor is a delta 3/4 hp 3450. I know this isn't ideal but you can plane a 6'' piece of oak and it dosen't skip a beat and comes out like glass. Anyway... I like the fence system and the stand is original with a atlas decal on it. The stand is nice and wide that makes for a very stable machine, unlike some others.
