"20th Century Woodworker" combination machine:
rip saw, crosscut saw, planer; 17" overhead crosscut saw
with jointer and boring attachment

I have lusted after this unit since I saw a picture of the
remains of one in a NJ scrap yard aka recyling center. One
popped up in my backyard(Seattle)in Bellevue, WA. currently
in owwm classifieds from Mr Bill Wilson. It is a great old
machine and would make some one a nice tablesaw/jointer combo.

US Patent: 1,482,631
Tool Categories: tablesaws boring machines planers
Patent Dates:
Applied: Nov. 08, 1920
Granted: Feb. 05, 1924

For me I want something I can work with and neither the table
nor the arbor tilt. The is a fence that looks like what is
used to get angled cuts but not to my liking. Bill ran the saw
and jointer with it's nice spanky clean leather belt and it runs
just fine. I've included a couple of pics and one diagram from
the patent. Patent is under Cresson-Morris on owwm site too. Very
detailed for a restorer. There are two other oldwwm types with
these machines. Hopefully some one will save this one. I would
also serve some one well for a ripper. By the way I'm guessing
600 lb plus 120 for the motor.

I submitted this since it is an interesting solid machine but
it also shows that it is possible to say no even after a long hunt.

I have more pictures as does Bill.
