This is my Dad's old belt sander. I have all his old Delta machines. They were well used but never abused. Someone that worked for my dad painted them some time in the 50's or early sixties. Looked like they used a broom. The blue paint had faded and looked pretty bad. It was used mostly without the cover on the top and the outside cover off of the belt guard. It always worked great. Kinda hard to fix something that is not broken but it works even better now.

This is the first restore I have done. I took off all the old paint and primed and painted everything. I have replaced some missing and broken knobs. Replaced a couple of bearings because they were easy to get to. The paint is a bit shinier than original but I like it that way.

My Dad would have liked it.
