Hey all -

I was looking for a 24" disk sander andthen i found this monster; just 5 minutes from my shop on the island and priced the way i like it--reasonable--it never happens that way does it. The owner provided a brand new pack of 10 PSL disks also.

This monster has twin 30" disks, 5hp, 220v 3 phase motor, it spins at roughly 1200 rpm (and when the power turns off it spins a long time!). Each table is 15 X 39 1/2 inches with a 10 degree down tilt and 45 degree up tilt. This sander can take a lot of wood off your project in a heart beat ...!

I found this sander on CL, I'll update the photos when i get the sander in it's new location in the shop. How do you like the color? Well, I've seen worse, but this machine is plug and play, i'll leave this alone and as is for now -- i have other projects that need my attention.

Comments: I got the beast off of the palette this weekend, so i took some new photos to replace the CL photos. Note for scale, that is a Delta Wedgebed 18" cowering under the double disk.

Comments: This photo shows the dual hand wheels that tilt the table either up or down. The crank arm is attached to the front table which raises and lowers the height of the tables. Note the different color casting on the foreground wheel--it was a new replacemen

Comments: The knob on the edge of the table adjust the table in or out away from the disk. The table shows the table which will accept the mitre guage (which i am missing; let me know if you have one).

Comments: We had the JD tractor maxed out on the hydrolics; only the bucket tilt could be effective -- this machine weights approximately 2,400 lbs.

Comments: This picture doesn't show it but the front tires on the JD were deflated, we needed to add 10psi before we could slowly move the sander into the trailer. Go huskies!
