Comments:
Picked this saw up from a guy my friend knows. He had this Delta 1160 and several other machines in his shop he needed to get rid of. For $200, it was worth it. On the way back, the saw fell out of the truck bed slamming table first into the pavement. The only casualty of this incident was the front of the fence (Which I fortunately have parts for) and the notorious front trunnion. I have since repainted the saw, added new bearings, replaced the front trunnion with the steel version from Bob Vaughan and got a new fence. Originally, I put it on a new steel jointer base I had, but decided one night to turn it into a combo unit. Purchased a 4" Delta Milwaukee jointer from the .org site and am currently working on getting the power transmission set up. The saw is now on a smaller 4" jointer 8" tilting arbor saw stand for space reasons.
