Comments:
I bought this from a guy in Minneapolis who owned a old machine shop that had closed. He said that he thought his dad bought it back in the 30's but couldn't be sure. It has a Robinson, Cary and Sands dealer badge and a M-69 tag on it. It is a somewhat unique machine that it has a direct drive motor and the earlier rounded gaurds. It's in great shape other than the upper gaurd mounting casting being cracked and mounted upside down, the lower gaurd having been "reengineered" into a swinging style and the fact that it is missing tires. Judging by the catalogs available on line and the serial number I'd guess that its a mid to late 1920's machine. After much searching I found the serial number on the front of the upper wheel post.
