I purchased this machine in the spring of 2008. I was at a cabinet shop auction where they were simply giving old machinery away. I felt a little bad for the seller who was there watching the debacle. I picked up lots of bargains at that auction including a 5HP, single phase, PM66 tablesaw from 1988 with a good 50" Biesemeyer fence for only $350 and a Delta 12"/14" tablesaw for only $400. This jointer was equally as inexpensive. I didn't really want it because I already have three other jointers, but I couldn't let it go for next to nothing.

This is the second PM50 I've owned. The other one was from the late 50's era. This one appears to be newer and in better shape.
