Comments:
Acquired from an online school auction in South Texas. I knew I had to have it.

This is the fifth Rockwell/Delta tool I have purchased, but the first to restore. The jointer was in pretty good shape with just a little peeling paint, some surface rust on the table, a missing manufacturer's badge, and a battered serial number badge. Very minor stuff.

Wish I would have picked up the Delta LD shaper next to it, but I guess we all have budget constraints every once in awhile.

This machine received new bearings for the R-I motor and the cutterhead. New blades and new belt help this to be a really smooth, good running workhorse in the shop.

Comments: As found at the school warehouse. Look at the gaudy orange porkchop (cutter guard).

Comments: Another before shot showing the fence adjustment mechanism and the funky orange motor starter box. It was not even mounted plumb or centered.

Comments: A cloth buffing wheel with emory cake followed by tripoli did a pretty good job on the fence adjust knob and lock handle. Stainless hardware buffed and polished replaced the original bolts.
