A Craigslist find. The seller said he was going to use my payment for this radial arm toward a new chop saw. He was running this DeWalt at 110 volts at the end of a long extension cord. At 110 the motor pulls 17 amps and he was having problems with popping breakers. I rewired it for 220. The adjustments hold well but it does take some time and care to get everything right. The 1 1/2 hp motor is smooth and strong. I put on a new 12 inch Systimatic negative hook blade. Despite Mr. Sawdust's advice to the contrary, I like the versatility of a big blade. Cross cutting is effortless but I wouldn't use this setup for ripping. Notice that in addition to cutting wood the saw had, at some time, functioned admirably as a drying rack for painting boards.
