This saw belonged to my dad who had been a cabinetmaker for years. In 1966 he changed careers and became a farmer (Iowa). The saw ended up being stored in a chicken house along with all of his other woodworking tools. When he retired from farming in the late 70s , he set up shop in his garage. This is where the saw has been since then. My dad passed away in 1994 and my mother passed away in April 2009, and I acquired the saw in July.

I had it broken down into pieces and had started on the restoration before I found the OWWM website. So, unfortunately there are no “before” pictures. I’m unsure if the motor (1/2 HP) is original, but it was made by Wagner Electric Corp., who I believe made motors for Delta at some point in time. Paint was computer matched from a non-rusty section inside one of the covers. The power switch and wiring were replaced as they were deteriorated beyond being safe. The tires were in fairly good shape, but I will be changing these out in the near future. This was my first restoration and a very fun project. I am looking forward to finding another machine to restore; hopefully a Unisaw, if there are any left out there.
