Comments:
This grinder was purchased new by my Uncle. Upon his passing it went to my father.
When I moved into my first home, my father gave me this grinder. It was NOS and I have the original box.
The lamp is not original, I assembled it from components similar to the original flexible gooseneck and reflector.
Craftsman model 397.19580 1/3hp 3450rpm 3.5A 115V bench grinder, design C2371.

Wiring reference:
Black 125V in - side tab On/Off toggle
White 125V in - single tab of relay
Green 125V in - grinder body ground
Motor white (yellowish) - center tab On/Off toggle
Motor black - middle tab of relay pair
Motor red - outer tab of relay pair
Lamp - pair one lead with black 125V in at toggle for lamp to go on with grinder start
Lamp (optional) - pair switch lead with white motor lead out of toggle for power without grinder running
Lamp - pair with white 125V lead at relay

Based on disassembly several samples of this grinder, the end bell cross bolts have been measured at 15 in-lb of tightening torque. Excess torque of the upper bolt will result in casting deflection and subsequent arbor bearing seizure.
