Garage sale find for $40, sold by original owner. It had lived all its life in the basement room where I found it. Came with the cast iron wing on the right, I later picked up the stamped steel wing on the left on ebay. The original motor was a 3/4 HP, I swapped that with the 1 HP slightly later vintage Craftsman motor from my 9" saw. The original motor was a very slow start, really dimmed the lights, and didn't have much power. Cleaning didn't help, so I replaced the capacitor. Sears no longer sells a replacement capacitor. I got an electrically equivalent one from Grainger in the standard cylindrical form factor, good news is that there is enough room in the motor base for the cap to fit. Now it runs like a champ.

Saw came with original fence and miter gauge, but I use an old Walker Turner Driver Line miter that I picked up a few years ago. I made covers for the front and back to improve dust collection, held in place with rare earth magnets so easy to remove when tilting the blade.
