Notes:	This chuck came with my Barber-Coleman surface grinder when I bought it in 1981 . It is very possible that dating this chuck may also provide dating information for the surface grinder . Both were very old in 1981 and had shown considerable wear before I rebuilt them . ( currently, the chuck and the chuck switch are detached from the machine while I add full-wave rectification to them ... otherwise the grinder and chuck have been a matched pair for as long as I can determine .
