Found this saw on Craigslist in Omaha and bought it from its original owner in 08/2009. Amazingly, it was still brand-new-in-the-box, never opened, never assembled. Original owner purchased it in '85, then got transferred to another part of the country before he could even assemble the saw, so left it at his parent's home. Twenty-four years later, after his dad passed away, he was cleaning out the basement of his dad's home, and he found the saw. But he didn't need it, so sold it. I was VERY lucky to have the opportunity to buy it. Opening the box and assembling it was like opening a time capsule to me. I have photos of all the box markings as well as all the numbers off the paperwork that came with the saw. The saw is in perfect condition, with no rust or corrosion anywhere. The factory grease wasn't even dried out. But, it was NOT aligned from the factory, as claimed in the owner's manual, however, the alignment adjustments were easy to make. Taking my time to be careful, it took me less than a day to assemble and align the saw. It is VERY smooth and accurate. I love it. |
