This machine is very similar to the 20" found on page 2 fig 295 of the 1929 catalog of "portable machines". The only difference is that the wheel guards do not cover the axels in the catalog, but the covers on my wheels are not cut out for the axel, but instead protrude out and around the axels as on the round guards on fig 417. The difference between those two guards is the flat bottom of the upper guard and the covering of the axels, both of which my machine has.
The serial # for my saw is 60388 and is stamped onto a protruding rib on the front of the arm just between the upper wheel support and the upper blade quides. The rib has been ground smooth and the numbers individually stamped. |
