Judging by the number of surviving examples and the frequency with which they appeared in catalogs, Iron City Tool Works leg or post vises were the best-selling brand in the country. The company offered 31 sizes of the vise in 1891. Iron City Tool Works was sold to sold to Warren Tool Corp. in 1958.
