The company manufactured vises from 1876 or earlier to at least 1926. The company was founded circa 1876 as C. S. Bonney & Son, changed to Bonney Vise & Tool Co. Ltd. in 1881, reorganized as Bonney Vise & Tool Works circa 1890, and changed to Bonney Forge & Tool Works in 1921.
