Dalton's first lathe, 1914
Dalton Machine Co. was founded in 1914 by Hubert Dalton, who was formerly vice-president of Frevert Machinery Co., New York City. The firm reorganized in 1920 as the Dalton Manufacturing Co. In 1924, the firm again reorganized as the Dalton Tool Corp. The company closed its doors in 1929 or shortly thereafter.
